Simple arithmetic: hours × hourly value × 4.33 weeks. It's what the work costs you today, not a promise of savings.

Try it: ask my assistant

It's built the way I'd build one for your business. It answers from what I've written about blin, and hands you to me when it doesn't know.

This is an AI assistant, so it can be wrong. For anything important, ask me directly.

David's assistant

Hi! I'm David's assistant. Ask me what he does, what it costs, or whether it fits your business.

The kind of software I build

  • Assistants connected to a company's real systems, so they can look things up and get things done.
  • Tools that read a written request for work and carry it out.
  • Connections that let separate programs pass information to each other.

Is this for you?

A good fit if

  • You own or manage a small or medium business that helps people: a practice, a clinic, a studio, a local service.
  • Messages, scheduling and paperwork take hours you'd rather give to clients.
  • You want it done for you, by one person you can call, at a price fixed up front.

Probably not if

  • You want to learn the tools and build it yourself. I build it for you.
  • You need a large agency with a team on site.
  • You're hoping software will replace your staff. I build things that give people time back.

How it works, and what it costs

  1. A free 30-minute call

You walk me through a normal week. Nothing to prepare.

  2. A one-page plan, yours to keep

Within two business days: 3 jobs you can stop doing, each with a fixed price and a timeline.

  3. I build it and stay with it

You try it in real work. I adjust it until it does what we agreed.

Businesses around you are already handing this kind of work to software. It's easier and more affordable than most owners expect.

Today I build software that does routine work by itself, for owners whose business helps people.

Questions owners ask

What is blin?

blin is the one-person software business of David Vennikov, a software engineer in Barrie, Ontario with over 20 years of experience. David builds software that does the repetitive office work in small and medium businesses: answering enquiries, booking and reminders, moving details between tools, invoices and payment reminders, and custom apps. It starts with a free 30-minute call, and every job gets a fixed price.

What do "automation" and "AI" actually mean here?

Automation is software doing a repetitive job for you, the same way every time: sending the reminder, filling in the spreadsheet, creating the invoice. AI is software that can read and write plain language, so it can answer a customer's question or draft a reply. I use whichever the job needs, and often no AI at all.

I'm not technical. Is that a problem?

No. You tell me how your week goes, in your own words. I do the technical work and show you and your team how to use the result.

What does it cost?

It depends on the kind and amount of work, so there's no single price. After the free call you get a fixed price in writing for each job, before you commit to anything.

Will it replace my staff?

No. It takes over the repetitive parts, like retyping details and sending reminders, so your people have time for the work that needs a person.

Is my data safe?

Your information stays in your own accounts. I get only the access the job needs, and you can remove it whenever you like. Before I build anything, I tell you exactly which information passes through an AI service and which doesn't, and we agree on it.

AI makes mistakes. What if it tells a customer something wrong?

It can, so I build with that in mind. An assistant answers only from information you've approved, hands over to a person when it isn't sure, and leaves anything sensitive, like prices or health questions, to you. You can try the one on this page.

What if something breaks?

If it doesn't do what we agreed, I fix it at no cost. I also build things so that when a step fails, someone is told and nothing gets lost quietly.

Do I have to replace the tools I use now?

Usually not. I connect what you already have: your calendar, spreadsheets, email, booking and invoicing. If something is missing, I'll say so and explain the options.

What do you need from me?

Thirty minutes for the first call. If we go ahead, about an hour of your time at the start and access to the tools involved.
